Birthday Party
A birthday party waa given for
Maxine Myers on her tilth anni
versary Friday evening at tha home
of her parents. Mr. and Mra. A. B.
Myers. The little guests were en
tertained by gamee, hunting pea
nuts, and a fish pond, each one
receiving a surprise. Dorothy Sylva
won a prise at the gamea.

Planned Oct. 28
One of the most promising fetes
for the Hallowe'en time Is the Lin
coln school frolic being planned by
tha Lincoln service club on the eve
of Oct. 38th.
Some ot the features for the eve
ning are cowboys and cowgirls show,
a penny throw, movies, a puppet
theatre, Robin Rhythm Band and
Beano, besides various other attrac
tions. The club will serve a cafeteria
supper at fl:30 o'clock. The proceeds
from the carnival will be used In
service work and supporting the soup
kitchen. - ,

tlat church Miss Helen Wheeler was
married to Mr. Msrshall Dopktns, of
Arbuckle, California, in the presence
of fifty guests. The Rev. A. Wolford
Dawes read the service at 7:30
o'clock.
Mrs. Donald Wilson waa her sister's
matron of honor and Mrs. John
Wheeler, a sister-in-law of the bride,
of Msrshfleld, wss bridesmaid. Mr.
Wilson and Mr. Wheeler attended Mr.
Dopklns.
The bride's gown was of white net
with matching taffeta slip, msde in
bouffant style. She wore a full length
veil and carried an arm bouquet of
pink roses and tern.
Kenneth Groves sang "I Love you
Truly" and "O Promise Me" during
the ceremony.
A reception followed the service
and Mrs. Hazel McCannon, Mra.
Gladys Choate and Mrs. Donald Wil
son assisted In serving. Mrs. H. H.
Dopklns, mother of the bridegroom,

The couple left after the reception
for Arbuckle, California, where they
will live. The bride la the daughter
