been received from Dr. Leonard
Melkle, club trainer, who Is hsna
ling , the Besvers, regarding the
Coasters' pitching selection, It Is be
lieved that Navy Bill Posedel, win
ner of 31 league ball games this year,
will be on the mound. For the All
Stars. Manager Wally Rlckert stated
that either Bill Lannlng, rlght-hand-ST
from the Blsbee team In the Arl-Bons-Texss
lesgue, or Larry Pepper,
brilliant Medford righthander, would
tart for the bush leaguers. Bay
Erlckson, another starboard fllnger,
will be held tn reserve.
With the appearance of the Beavers
southern Oregon addicts of the na
tional pastime will witness three
players who next year will wesr the
uniforms of major league teams.
Posedel, after bis brilliant season In
the Coast lague, was sold to the
Brooklyn Dodgers and will report
next spring. Pet Coscorart, great
fielding second sacker, was also sold
to the Daffy Dodgers. Nino Bongy,
who tied for the Psclflo Coast league
betting championship with a mark
of .330, according to the Howe News
bureau, was drafted by the Cincinnati
Reds, and will next sesson produce
basehlts under the big top.

tour to beat the Cincinnati team to
