Stolen Car Recovered The 1828
Ford coupe owned by Claude Acree
of Phoenix, which was stolen from
its parking place on South River
side avenue early Sunday momlng.
has been recovered In Ashland, city
police said today. The car was found
abandoned yesterday near the South
em Oregon Normal school by Clark
Thomas, Ashland city policeman, who
notified local authorltlea.

Minor Accident Cars driven by
Harold L. Jacobs of Talent and H.
Hoppe of 824 Plum street were In
volved In a minor accident on the
Crater Lake highway yesterday after
noon, a olty police report said today.
The report stated that the Jacobs
machine struck the rear end of the
Hoppe car as the latter slowed down
to allow a school bus to make a
lefthand turn. The damage was list
ed as minor.

meeting of the southern Oregon Oem

County Chamber of commerce. The
place was left to the field trip com

chamber at 8:45 Sunday morning

Petrified vl and agates found on
a field trip a fortnight ago also were
displayed. The society voted to con
duct a membership campaign which
will be climaxed with a banquet on
