The kickoff will be at i o'clock

Flgeklh fana of the city, who like
to back their favorite with aomethlng
more than talk, have Inatalled the
Tornado of Coach Bill Bowerman a
18-polnt favorite. Thla la probably
due to the fact that Hood River, in
Its opening game of the aeaaon two

Sigh of Portland. 7-8, and followed
that up with a, 13-7 loss to Camaa,

According to the weather man and
from the general appearance of

the two ball teams will have anything

Bind, If any, the deep-rooted grass

be wet, and that will undoubtedly
preclude any great amount of forward

Both teama use the alngla wing

are an unknown quality, although
they are big.
Hard Week of Drill
In preparation for thla tint game
At a "audden death" achedulo that
will either skyrocket the Tlgera to
the atate peak or mean an unsuccess
ful aeaaon. Coach Bowerman and hie
aalatanta, Ed Rlrttey and Ruaa Ache
on, have hammered their chargea
through a terrific practice week. If
the Tornado Isn't ready for blg-tlme
Competition tonight, It won't be the
fault of the coaching staff. Rough

Attack that clicked for three touch

alternately hot and cold haa been

Bowerman announced hla atartlng

Fed Root will be at the flanks. Dsn
Shrhart and Hubert Santo at the
tacklea, Wally Krl and Clene Archl
Mid at the guards, and John Prentice
t center. Prentice replaces Kred

a bumped knee the latter recolved

In the backfleld, Warren Bayllsa
