his newly-dedicated shrine of the
sun on Cheyenne mountain south'
west of here.
The bust, resting on a grantto
pedestal near the 103-foot shrine
tower, was unveiled Monday In the
presence of Rogera relatlvea, cow-
boya, Indiana and friends of the
donor, Spencer Penrose, millionaire
developer of the Broadmoor resort,
which lies at the foot of the moun
tain,
Although visitors were permitted
today to view the Interior of the
Shrine, rising above granite battle
ments of a Jutting cliff of the moun
tain, the Interior decorations ara not
complete.

Crater Lake, resulting In new all
time record attendance of 183,774
people for the current travel year.
This comparea to 180383 for the en
tire 1938 aeason. The official year
ends September 80, leading to expec
tations that for the first time In Its
history Crater Lake will reach a 300,
000 attendance record.
