co-starred at the head of a cast of
big names.
Cable is shown as the dynamic
Irish patriot who sacrifices a glor
lous career because of another man'a
wife, and Myrna Loy as that woman,
the lovely Katie O'Shea, wedded to
a msn sue awjjiacy.
In the Impressive supporting cast
are Edna May Oliver a the testy,
lovable Aunt Ben; BUlle Burke as
the giggling, giddy Clara; and Alan
Marshall as the ambitious Capt.
Willie O'Shea. Also In featured roles
are Edmund Gwenn, Donald Crisp,
Berton Churchill, Donald Meek, Hal

Based on the famous stage play
of the same name, but going even
farther In emotional depth and
sweep, "Parnell" shows the man, as
well as the lover. It shows him
leaving New York in 1880. to the
cheers of thousands of Irish-Americans.

line" and the first man to unite
the 88 membera of the Irish party.

nell. who never looked at a woman,
met Katie O'Shea, estranged from

great Irishman, refusing to defend
himself to protect the woman he
loved, is ruined politically at the
very moment he had home rule for
Ireland In the grasp of his hand.
