phiniums, Canterbury bells, rosea and
other seasonal flowers will form a
colorful background for the cere
mony, which will be followed by a
reception.
, The bride Is well-known In the
city, having lived here the greater
part of her life. Her large number of
friends In the city and valley have
bsen much Interested In the com
ing osremony. Mr. Freytag came to
Medford a short time ago from Ore
gon City and has made many friends
since his arrival. He attended Ore
gon State college.

was the dance arranged Ust evening

of friends to the Gllhousen lodge on
Rogue river last evening. The cool
river setting provided a welcome
change from the suddenly rising tem
perature of the valley during the
past week.

6 :30 o'clock with supper being served
later In the evening. Invitations

Legionnaires are Invited to attend
the much delayed picnic at Jackson
hot springs Tuesday evening, June
38. The swim and picnic la to be
a mother-daughter event. This wss
postponed the early part of this
month because of the rainy weather.
The swim will stsrt at 11:30 p. m.
followed by a picnic supper. Bring
table service and a basket lunch

Among recently returned Medford
ltes are Mr. and Mrs. Homer Harvey
and daughter, MIm Opal Harvey, who
arrived home Friday.
The Harveya have been traveling In
the east, where they were the guests
of relatives. They went by the south
ern route and returned through
northern states, after visits to eastern
cities and vacation spots en rout.
They have been away about two
months,

planning early summer weddings Is
Miss Osy Buchanan, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. A. Buchanan, who will
become the bride of Olenn Crouse
July 10.
The ceremony U to be solemnized
In Juneau, Alaska, where Mr. Crouse
Is now residing. Miss Buchanan left
Medford by train Wednesday evening
for .Seattle, Wash., where she was to
embark for Alaska.
Both bride and groom-to-be nave
many friends In the city. Mr. Crouse
is a former Medford resident and Mist
Buchanan has lived here for the psst
few years. They will make their
home In the northern city.
A number of affairs feted the bride
elect preceding her departure. Among
those entertnlnlng for her were her
sister-in-law. Mrs. W. A. Buchanan,
who arranged a breakfast shower.
