Golf Clubs Stolen Morris B. Leon
ard of 3603 HlUcrest avenue reported
to city police yesterday that some
time since Thursday his garage was
entered and from It were stolen eight
golf clubs, six Irons and two woods.
Ha also told city police that a screen
had been cut and a window broken
out in the basement window. Noth
ing was taken from the house.

Diamond lake was reported good to
day, with clear weather prevailing

Mr. Phelps will be here for a few

general chairman of the Northwest
Aviation Planning Council waa an
nounced In a notice sent out today
by Walter R. York, president of the
Boise, Idaho, Chamber of Commerce
and program chairman for the next
meeting of the council In Boise June
17. 18 and 19.
Mr. Banwell, manager of the Jack
son County Chamber of Commerce,
succeeds Walter W. R. May of Port
land who resigned the general chair
manship.
"Mr. Banwell 'a appointment Is an
outstanding credit to Medford and
will assist substantially In keeping
this city In the forefront of aviation
development." said Fred Heath. Jr..
chairman of the aviation committee
of the chamber of commerce.
"Med ford's greatest asset ta It air
port and we have considerable devel- i
opment work to accomplish there
yet," Mr. Heath declared. "The city
Is now placed In a b inter position
to get what It needs In Its airport
expansion program. The appointment
of Mr. Banwell ss general chairman
