night by defeating Hugh Nichols of
Hollywood, Cal., in straight falls
Berry weighed 173, Nichols 174.
Berry gained the first fall after 35
minutes when he slipped from a
cradle spilt to. grab an Indian death-
lock, and he employed the same lever
age to take the second fall in 26
minutes. He pounded Nichols under
the heart with elbow punches
throughout the match.
Berry, a product of the Kansas coal
mines, has been wrestling 11 years
and was a boxer before the turned

tives Investigated today a coroner's
report that John P. Spauldlng, 46,
longshoreman, died Sunday of a
fractured skull and hemorrhage, re
ceived May 20 during a scuffle at
the International Longshoremen's as
sociation hiring hall.

yesterday at ceremonies in honor of
two of the school's former presidents,
the late Dr." Thomas F. Campbell and

ACHESON STARTS
BASEBALL DRILL
A baseball school for all youngsters
under 21 years of age will be started
by Russ Acheson today at the new
turf high school field. All boys of
Medford and Jackson county intet
ested are asked to report any time
from 2 to 6 p. m.
Acheson said he especially desired
high school and Junior high players
to report. Sessions will be held dally
with the players furnishing only
glove and tennis shoes. Bats, balls
and other equipment will be avail
able.
Games will be arranged with teams
in the same age-clnss from other
cities, Acheson stated. Any playei
showing exceptional promise will be
turned over to the Medford Craters
of the Southern Oregon league, he
said .

Zehr family today as triplets Doris.
Dora and Dorothy marched to the
altar with three stalwart north
country bridegrooms, two of them
brothers.
Prim in white satin gowns, the
24-year old sisters came to the small
Methodist Episcopal church here
from their home In nearby Croghan
for the second time In 24 hours.
Last night, the triplets, daughters
of Mrs. Flora Zehr, a widowed farm
mother, rehearsed the triple ctre
mony as curious village folk watch
ed. v
Three times they marched up the
aisle with their three sisters. Delia.
Pearl and Florence, as attendants
and grotiped themselves before the
Rev. William K. Bradshaw. House
dresses sufficed for the rehearsal and
their black hair, freshly waived, was
held in place by curlers.
It was Dorothy and Dora who con
ceived the idea of a triple wedding
when they became engaged to Sher
man Kloster and his brother, Fran
cis, respectively, young Belfort farm
ers. Then Doris completed the plan
by accepting the proposal of Dewey
Hill of Lyons Falls, also a farmer.
The Kloster brothers and the trip
lets grew up together In the same
school district In northern Lewis
county.
After e reception, the triplets, plus
new husbands, planned a honeymoon
trip to Belolt. Ohio, to visit relatives.
