of Crater Lake national park where

headquarters were Informed today by
Stephen Moore, lumberman. In his
note Mr. Moore added that the log
ging camp was being greatly harassed
by mosqultos.

Tour Book Available Western Tour
book, revised yearly by the Oregon
State Motor association, was received
yesterday by Lee Oarlock, manager
of the local AAA office. It contains
641 pages and contains information
regarding all roads, cities, counties
and states west of Chicago. The book
Is distributed free to all AAA mem
bers and costa 43 to non-members.
Oarlock also received 600 1037 Ore
gon rosd maps yesterdsy.

and road tests for prospective drivers
and chauffeurs will be held here as
usual Saturday. Ward McReynolda,
state examiner, will be at city hall
from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.. and persons
seeking licenses or permits may con
sult him between those hours. Mr.
McReynolda will also receive applica
tions for the renewal of operator
licenses, all of which expire June 30

Mills, en route in an army Douglas
observation plane from Hamilton
field, Cal., to Seattle; and Robert D.
Bedlnger, chief supervisor of this dis
trict for the bureau of air commerce,
and Olen Neel, Inspector, who ar
rived from Klamath Falls In Mono
coupes. Bedlnger continued to Oak
land, Cal., while Neel proceeded north
to Eugene.

Jackson county home demonstration
agent, was reported today to be rest
ing comfortably In St. Vlnoent'a hos
pital, Portland, where she underwent
an operation Tuesday morning for
acute appendicitis. Her mother, Mrs
Ida Sweeney, went to Portland Tues
day night to be with her. Mrs. Mack
was returning from the annua con
vention of the Business and Profes
sional women's clubs In Eugene when
she was stricken In Cottage Orove
with appendicitis. She proceeded Im
mediately from there to Portland for
the operation. She is president of
the Business and Professional Wom
en's club here.
