The federal government's newest
strong box, a $1,000,000 fire-proof,
earthquake-proof, and robbery-proof
mint on a solid rock foundation, was
dedicated today.
The streamlined, five-story build
ing overlooks the central business
district from a rocky knoll, and soon
will replace the historic downtown
mint as the government's coinage
center on the west coast.
Mrs. Nellie Taylor Ross, director of
