aald, "I ahould not rely wholly on
editorial columns of the newspspere
and magazines to tell It, I ahould
turn to the advertising columns and
there I should tell my story when I
wanted It, where I wanted It, the
way I wantad It, without a line of It
left out, or a word changed."

Irving Beesley, Boy Scout executive

masters. Beesley talked about the national
and world Boy Scout Jamborees to be
held this summer, saying that Med
ford would send more representatives
to the International gathering In
Holland than any other Oregon eity
excepting Portland. Jack Thompson.

will attend both Jamborees, Beealey

sented guitar and vocal numbers.

Jackson county In the field of health,
members of Jacksonville's organisa
tion In regular meeting passed a
resolution to continue the services
of public health nurses for another
year.
Request for service was made, Miss
Mildred Carlton, president of tha
Public Health association, announced
yesterday, without soliciting and in
advance of the expiration of the pres
ent contract for nursing service. The
board meeting was held April 16 and
the preeent service does not expire
until September 1. The vote for
continuation of the service for an
otlw year shows that the board mem
bera recognlte the true benefits of
public health service, and la particu
larly gratifying to nurses and all pub
lic health orgRnlrstlona, Mis Carlton
stated.

was the privilege of the 4-H elub
members of the Beaver Creak school
who accompanied their leaden, Mr.
and Mrs. Wallace Kaaklna, to tha
lake Sunday. The road was In good
condition and the group was able to
make the entire trip In cans. A pro
fusion of wild flowers In the eur
rounding rrglons added to the pleaa
ure of tha excursion, and the young
sters collected soapstone for earring.
