Harry Marx orchard property about
tlva miiea south of Medford and a
mil west of Phoenix.
Purchaser was fc. E. Jackson, who
came here recently as field man and
poultry specialist for the Trlansle
Milling company of Portland. TheJ
transaction was handled by the Carl
V. Tengwald agency. It was a cash
deal, Mr. Tengwald said.
The property consists of a modem
five-room residence, accessory build
ings and a five-acre orchard of
peaches, cherrlea and berries. It Is
understood that Mr. Jackson will
also extensively go Into the poultry
business.
Mr. Jackson and his family have
already taken possession of the prop
erty, having disposed of their rsnch
holdings In Hubbsrd. where they for
merly lived. Mr. Jsckson mskes his
business headquarters with the P. E.
Samson company.
Mr. Marx Is a painting contractor
and disposed of his orchard property
because of increasing business., It
was explained. He has purchased a
residence on Poitland avenue.

Hamilton to attend the 11 s. m.
services in the Fist Christian church
Sunday. All branches of the lodges

are asked to meet at the lodge ball
at 10 a. m. to organize for the march
to the church. The special church
attendance will be in commemora
tion of the 118th anniversary of the

Open Day Nursery

Miss Erickson will open a day nurs
ery st 119 North Central avenue in
Medford'a business district, where

ers shop or play bridge. A super
vised playroom will be feature and
June Erickson, who has had exten

dren, will be personally In charge.

bled fraction to 5 or more point
before sufficient support arrived to
brace the list.
Brokers saw nothing especially out
standing In trie news to bring a be
lated flood of offerings that put the
ticker tape two minutes or so behind
floor dealings for a time. Numerous
new lows for the year or longer were
posted.
Partly responsible for the renewal
of the slide, it was thouguv. was the
marked Indifference of stocks to ex
ceptionally bright corporation earn
ings statement and other favorable
industrial news.
Transfers were around 1,200,000
shares.
