yesterday's meeting In Central Point.

Mrs. Nell Dunn of Bellvlew. treasurer.

present for the session, which open
ed at 10 a. m. with Mrs. B. C. For-
sythe of Ashland presiding. Business

tivities of each unit in the county.

Dr. Leroy C. Jensen Is to address
the group. Music will be by pupils of
Mrs. Ruth Bolton and Miss Laura

In the fall of 1932 a little group of
teachers met In Med ford and decided
to form a choral club. There were
eight teachers at the meeting and
Mrs. George Andrews, a well known
musician of southern Oregon. With
the idea of singing together for
pleasure and professional Improve
ment In school music, they formed a
self-supporting group which was de
veloped under the leadership of Har
riet Baldwin, music supervisor of
Med ford schools, into a fine ensemble
singing group of thirty-two mem
bers. Since that year the choral club has
continued to grow. It has reached
outside the teaching profession and
many who are not teachers, but who
enjoy singing and are interested In
tzood music, have joined the club.
Two years ago the chorus began the
building up of a music library and
this has been added to until there
is a worth-while collection on file
in the office of the county superin
tendent for use of the chorus.
The group, supported by the county
superintendent's office and the
Medford school music department,
has been organized for five years.
This vear it has reached a maximum
of sixty-four members. They have
made a number of public appear
ances during the past season, nota
bly at Portland last June at the N.
E. A. convention, where they won the
Approval of national leaders.

Chambers, accompanist for two years,
is in charge of the annual concert
which )s to be given Monday even
ing. April '26th. at the high school
auditorium at 8:15 o'clock. A con
cert at Ashland May 3. at the South
ern Oregon Normal school under the
auspices of the A. A. U. W., will end
this season for the ckorus.

Visitor Leaves
To Return Home.
Leaving by train last night was
Mrs. C. W. Dickey, who has been a
much entertained visitor here for
the past four months.
Mrs. Dickey has been the house
guest of her sister, Mrs. George Al
den. during her stay. She Is return
ing to her home at Dover, Minn..
and plans a stop at Oakland. Calif.,
for a short visit with friends before
continuing east.
A number of affairs were arranged
for Mrs. Dickey during her visit here
by her numerous Medford friends.
She expressed delight with the Rogue
River valley and Medford.

Reunion Guest.
Miss Margaret Lenora Bland of
this city recently returned home
after being among guests at a fam
ily reunion In Eugene celebrating the
birthdays of Mrs. Margaret Ellen
Jones and Fred Jones. Miss Bland
was among several grandchildren
present for the affair.
Miss Bland accompanied Mr. and
Mrs. C. E. Ollklson and Mr. and Mrs.
E. C. Neely, all of Grants Pass.

Honor Guest
Miss Ora Cox of this city, state
president of the Daughters of Union
Veterans, was the honor guest at a
recent session of the Ashland group.
The affair was arranged as a lunch
eon, followed by afternoon session
during which Miss Cox appeared In
her official capacity. She addressed
the group, describing the national
conclave and telling of plans for or
ganization activities.

Home from South
Returning to her home here, on the
Shasta this morning was Mrs. John
C. Mann, who has been visiting In
Berkeley. Calif.
Mrs. Mann left Sunday for the
south. She was the house-guest of
Mrs. Warner Patton, former Medford
resident, while in the bay area.
