earnest by Coach Bill Bowexman at
the senior high school gymnasium
this afternoon.
Every student out for the game
will be given an opportunity to dem
onstrated his court skill In an lnter
claaa tournament scheduled to get
tinder way at 4 o'clock thla after
noon, the tourney having been chosen
by Bower man as the fairest, quickest
and surest way to develop talent,
With practically unseasoned mate
rial to work with, the high school
mentor has a tough assignment to
develop an efficient court machine
and he ts eager to bring the promis
ing players to the foro front aa quickly
as possible. Only tlx veterans of last
year's varsity aquod are left for this
season's gruelling schedule.

Sixty-four men reported at the
first call yesterday, the largest turn
out In years. With such a large
aquad to work with, Bowerman de
elded to utilise the claaa tournament
plan to reveal tha best talent and
rcduc the field to workable propor
tion!. Seven teams were) organized from
tha 04 embryos, There are two first
term sophomore teama, two first term
Junior units and one on oh from the
other classes.
The elimination tournament will
gnt under way this afternoon with,
tha second team of the first trmj
aopho:nores lined up against the sec-
ond quintet of the first term Juniors
and the second term seniors facing
the aeoond term Juniors.
Spectators will be welcome to the
tournament gnmea and no admlaalon
