tained Saturday afternoon at the
home of Mra. George Oanode, when
various poeta and their work were
dlacu&sed by the group.
MIm Annette Gray reviewed "A Poet
In America," by Edgar Lee Mastera,
describing the method by which poeta
paint word plcturea In varloua aubtle
waya and Illustrated her discussion
by reading poems from noted authora.
Mlsa Grace chamberlain related
anecdotes concerning Robert Frost
and Gertrude Stein and Mrs. Opal
Wheeler Mooter read her own compo
sition, "I Salute."
New members Introduced to the
club were Mrs. Jamea Campbell, Mra.
Opal Wheeler Mooter and Mlsa Hazel
Bruner. Refreshments were served by
Mra. R. A. Work as chairman, assisted

Among business discussed at Sat
urday's meeting of Zulelma temple,
Daughters of the Nile, held in Grants
Pass were plana for the annual
Thanksgiving box to be sent to the
Bhrlne hospital for crippled children
in Portland.
Announcement was made that the
box will leave Medtord Monday, No
vember 23 and those making dona
tions are requested to do so as soon
as possible. Contributions may be left
at the J. D. Rlckert office, 222 East
Main street.
In charge of the projeot are Mrs.
O.-Ii. Overmyer, Mra. R. R. Johnson

Entertain Tonight
Beglnlng the annual activity which
leads to the distribution of hun
dreds of Christmas toys to children
of the community, the Lady Lions
will entertain thla evening at cards
In the social hall at the armory.
Varied card gamea will be played
and a oordlal Invitation is Issued to
the public. ' Beneflta will go toward
repairing end renovation of donated
toys sent each year to children In
the vicinity.
The repair work and repainting of
toye is done by city firemen, .with
citizens of the community contribut
ing old or discarded playthings. Con
tributions may be sent to the cham
ber of commerce or the fire hall.

daughter. Miss Geraldlne Wilkinson.

past three months, vacationing in

the ceremony the young couple re
turned to Klamath Falls where they
will make their home.
