1937 PROSPECT
WASHINGTON. Nov. 10-(AP)
Turkey eaters were given causev for
thanksgiving today In a government
report that more of the birds are
strutting around the nation "a farms
this fall than In any previous au
tumn. Compared to beefsteaks and pork
chops, the arg .culture department
added: "Turkey prices probably will
be low thla year."
The drumstick and gizzard trade
was warned, however, that feed scarc
ity may cut the turkey supply next
year. There are now 20,000,000.
There'll be plenty of turkeys on
the market thla fall, but they'll be
smaller and younger than usual, tht
department predicted.
The outlook for chickens, geese and
ducks is similar, the department re
ported.
