Galaxy of Stars In Thursday Hit
Dramatic Picture
On Double Feature

What la heralded as one of the
outstanding productions of the
screen. "The White Angel." portray
ing the life story of the Immorttl
nurse. Florence Nightingale, opens at
the Rialto theater today with Kay
Francis In the stellar role.
The picture paints In fiery drama
the fight of Florence Nightingale, a
wealthy English society girl, to
remedy conditions In army field hos
pitals and the neglect of dylnij sold
iers. All the tragedy and pathos of
the battlefield la pictured In the film,
as well as the beauty of the life of
sacrifices of Florence Nightingale and
her specialty picked nurses.
"Ticket to Paradise," a modern up-to-date
comedy with Roger Pryor and
Wendy Barrle In the leading roles,
plays as the double feature with "The
White Angel." Pryor plays the role
of a young go-getter who suffers from
loss of memory and amnesia, brought
on by a taxi crash. The comedy 81 tu
atlons he and his girl go through try
ing to restore his memory brings
about many hilarious moments of
fun and excitement. His sweetie de
cides to cash in on the publicity

Metal Kraft Shop To
Open In Gas Building
Among the new business firms to
open in Medford this month Is the
Metal Kraft Shop Vhlch occupies the
former location of the Southern Ore
gon Gas Corporation at 209 West
Main street. Harry Gould and Earl
McBee, well-known local men with
considerable welding experience, are
owners of the shop.
Equipment has been Installed in
the rear half of the building so that
all types of custom welding and job
work may be handled. A complete
line of wrought metal articles includ
ing everything from hinges to bal
cony rails wilt be displayed In the
front of the shop as soon as the
stock Is secured. Mr. Gould and Mr.
McBee expect to make a trip to San
Francisco this week to complete ar
rangements for orders from manufacturers.
Rialto fans will be on the verge of
apoplexy, like George Barbler. if they
saw their horse admiring the heels
of the other nags in the Kentucky
Derby. Looks like Pat Paterson and
Edward Brophy are pulling a fast one
