The past week has been a very busy
time for members of Stms Valley
Orange.
Monday evening the drill and Initi
atory team met for practice. Wed
nesday approximately 160 attonded
the annual Booster night meeting
About 20 members ot the Grange par
ticipated In the program which In
cluded quartet singing, reading.,
solos, tableaux, tap danclni and talks
on history, activities and accomplish
ments of the Orange. Refreshment
of pumpkin pie and coffee wore serv
ed to the large crowd by the H. E
committee.

today that the Olrla' Athletic asso
ciation and the girls' physical edu
cation department are sponsoring sis
tournaments simultaneously In lire)
different sports.
In table tennis then are beginners'
and advanced ladder tournaments.
Elimination tournaments an being
played In deck tennis, bora shoes
and golf.
Each sport Is In oharge of a atu-
dent manager, aa follows: Tennis,
Oeorgla Handy; table tennis, Mar
jorle McKea; deck tennis, -Jewell
O'Neal; horseshoes, Aureia Clemens;
golf, Helen Thompson. These man
agers arrange the tournaments, keeo
records of scores and the progress ot
the games.
There are OS girls participating la

sports as follows. Tennis, 38; table
tennis, beginners 10, advanced 10;
