Baby Beef Calves and Pen
of Four Pigs Will Be Sent
to Pacific International
Stock Show in Portland
The 4-H club livestock fair held at
:he county fairgrounds Wednesday,
September 30, was "Very successful,
icoordtng to L. J. Allen, assistant
itate club leader and Judge of the
exhibits.
Much Interest was centered around
the baby beef calves and the pen of
four pigs which will be exhibited In
Portland at the Pacific International
next week.
The Safeway Stores of Medford pur
chased three of the prize-winning
baby beef steers, paying extra prem
ium prices for them. Mr. Haws, local
manager of the stores, stated that
he was pleased with the calves and
felt that his concern was fortunate
in obtaining this high quality meat
for their local customers.
