Francisco, was accidentally ahot near
Hermlston yesterday afternoon. He.

front of the Rankin brother, aa they
fired, It was related to a coroner'a
Jury this morning. A bullet from
one of the guna entered his skull
back ot the right ear and lodged
against th. fronUl bone over the
right .ye. Ho was rushed to the
Hermlston hospital but succumbed to
the Injury at 7:18 p, m.

tumn days are here again, bringing
the loveliest of Indian summer's gon-
geous coloring. Hunters are as usual
banging In the hills. So far none of
our citizens havo been mistaken for
game and the cautious ones do not
venture far beyond their yards.
The male population of the Upper
Rogue are putting In their spare time
building our new grange hall on the
site recently donated by Nion Tucker.
