as freshmen at Oregon State college

Railroad Man Here Charles Bur
nett, representative of the Rock la
land railroad, transacted business
here yesterday. He returned to Port

to work there yesterday after spend

Radio Club Meeting Rogue Valley
Radio club will hold ft regular meet
ing in Medford armory at 8 o'clock
tomorrow night. Talks on the devel
opment of aviation radio will be
given by aeorge R. Johnson, bureau
of air commerce, and Ken Williams,
United Air Lines. Anyone Interested
In radio was Invited to attend the
meeting.
Puppy ' Exhibit Three Pekinese
puppies, eight weeks old. will be plac
ed on display Saturday by Mrs. Oolda
Walters at the Monarch Seed Feed
company, Sixth and Bartlett atreeta.
Pekinese dogs are said to be com
paratively rare In the Rogue valley
and it was expected the exhibit would
attract considerable attention. Mrs.
' Walters and her son came to Med
ford recently from Topeka, Kansas.
They plan to make their home here.
To Probe Dispute H. L. Elrey of
Salem, ft representative of the atate
labor commission, arrived laat night
to conduct an Investigation of the
wage dispute between 68 workers snd
operators of the Howard Christy
sawmill In the Dead Indian district.
A way Is sought, the district attor
ney said, whereby the employees will
receive the pay alleged to he due
them. He stated the amount of the
waee Indebtedness was "close to

Star line, transacted business here
yesterday. He returned north last

Visiting Here Mrs. Carrie McAllis
ter of New Hope Is among Medford
visitors this week, being the guest of
her daughter. She expects to return
to her home near Grants Pass this
week-end.
In Hospital J. H. Fletcher, secretary-manager
of the Medford Federal
Savings & Loan association, wns to
day reported progressing satisfactorily
at Community hospital where he has
been receiving medical treatment
since Tuesday.

rived at municipal airport this aft
