One of the rare object of his

Highly educated and a visitor to

Chief Thayendanega in latter life
discarded his Indian sltle to become
known aa Joseph Brnt, for whom
the city of Brantford was named.
Resembling & modern hum td tiler
more than a musical instrument, the
organ has the titles of 32 ancient
songs on Its cover, the majority of
which have been forgotten for more
than a century. Although the orgAu

ELM LEAF TOBACCO
MELBOURNE (UP When large
quantities of (alien elm leaves were
bought in the Australian town of
Bacchus Marsh for shipment to Oer
many, a rumor spread of mysterious
new explosive being extracted from
leaves.
Tiien came the explanation. Two
customs oftlcers saw the leaves being
put through a hydraulic press and
converted Into plugs like tobacco.
They tested' this new "smoke" and
found It quite palatable and smooth,
though somewhat damp.
So It seems thai German smokers.
In these days of currency difficulties,
are to be converted to the new elm
leaf "tobacco."
