Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck,
Is at the Craterian theatre where
"His Brother's Wife" starts a three
day run today.
Taylor, the most sensational box
office draw since Clark Oable first
leaped to fame. Is rapidly becoming
known as the first real matinee Idol
of fllmdom since the days of Rudolph
Valentino. His following la not con
fined to one age group, but numbers
little girls in sun suits (or Is that as
definite as It might be?) to grey
halrcd grandmothers, who see In the
handsome young star their dreams
come true. But. and herein lies the
secret of real, lasting fame, Taylor Is
also well-llked by the masculine ele
ment. The story of "His Brother's Wlfo"
tells of a young scientist about to em
bark on his first scientific expedi
tion. On the eve of leaving New York
for the Troploal Jungle, Taylor goes
on his final fling, and meets Miss
Stanwyck In A gay, gambling casino.
For ten days their romance pro
gresses and Taylor decides to forsake
the expedition and remain In New
York to marry Babs. He Is dissuad
ed from doing so by his brother,
(John Eldrldge), and he accompan
ies Joan Hcrsholt, leader of the group,
Into the Jungle.
Meanwhile, to avenge horself, Babs
marries Taylor's brother and when
the young scientist returns to New
York, he finds her "his brother's
wife."
How this complicated situation la
finally brought to a satisfactory con
clusion forms tho climax of thfl story.
Among those featured In the sup
porting cast are Joseph callela, Sam
uel S. Hinds, and Jed Prouty.
The famous William Tell Overture
by Rossini has been chosen by Se
bastian Apollo as his fifteen minute
organ concert at the opening of the
show.

Amerlcnn legion and auxiliary will
hp Installed at a Joint ceremony In
Knights of Pythlns hall at 8 o'clock
Tuesday nlpht.
Ouy Cordon of Rom burg, recently
elected atnte commander, will be the
installing officer for the post. It
wMl be the first Installation he has
conducted since becoming head of
the Oregon department.
Installing officer for the auxiliary
will be Mrs. Myrtle Olmscheld, past
president of the Medford unit and
recently elected president of dis
trict 4.
Because of the presence of thi
atste commander and the district
president, past and auxiliary officers
yesterday requested a full attendant
at the Joint ceremony.
The installation will be followed
by dancing. Refreshments wilt be
served during the evening. All ex
srrvtce men and women and their
families and friends arc Invited to
attend.
New post officers to be Installed

Fred J. Pry. cenlor vise-commander:
Cass p. Wymore. Junior vice-corn-miinder;
Lee C. Oarlock, adjutant

Huge Black Widow
Found In Kitchen
A black widow spider, one of the
inrgest of that dreaded clan to bo
found In Medford. was taken from a
kitchen wall at the home of Mrs.
L R. Culy, 520 South Fir street,
