Little Bobble Hearn, grandson of A.
H. Hearn of Phoenix. Is In the Com
munity hospital in Medford, guff si -tng
from a complete brenk in his left
leg. suffered last Friday noon while
playing In the yard with another
child about his own age. The chil
dren were playing with a rope and
little Gordon Qarmer lassoed Bobble
while he was running, and he fell,
breaking his leg between the hip and
knee,
Mrs. Noah Chandler spent latt
week-end with her daughter, Mrs. Ed
Marten, at Copco. Mrs. Martin re
turned with her mother and Misa
Delia Mast went home with Mrs. Mar
tin or a week's visit with her.

The big lot of logs which have lain
at Talent for the past winter are now
being trucked to the mill at Medford
and logging has again started In the
timber on Wagner and Anderson
creeks. ,
Slab-wood from the mills Is find
ing a ready market in this section, as
many are laying In their winter's
wood now, so as to have It dry.
This should be the season to plant
onions, but as the market was some
what overstocked last season, many
are not planting again this year. The
garden land between Talent and
Phoenix Is some of the best adapted
to their culture.
Bcrthold Hearn of Portland arrived
at the home of his father, A. H.
Hearn of Phoenix, being called when
his little son Bobble sustained a
broken leg last Friday noon. Berthold
will be with his little son for a while.
