Mr. Gertrude Pennoyer Russell,
daughter of Sylvester Pennoyer, who
was governor of Oregon from 1M7 to
1895. died here. She waa the widow
of the late Oeorge S. Rusaell. A

evening. In honor of Mra. Alex Praaer
and two sons, Charlea and Alex, for

leaving next Sunday for New York
City to live, and where Alex will com
plete hie studies In photography.
There were 100 guesta present. Mrs.
Praser received many beautiful hand

Praser, Sr., I working on a building
contract In Salem at present, which
will take between all and eight
months to complete, when he too will

on the road, going south and east
