The Grants Pas Irrigation District
petitioned the federal court here for
approval of financial reorganisation
under corporate bankruptcy laws.
Ninety-seven per cent of the bondholder-creditors
of the district signi

cents on every dollar of Indebtedness

the Western Plus association for the
week ending March 7 was nine per
cent greater than for the preceding
week, the association reported today.
The mills reported orders for

000 feet and production of 39,711,000
feet.

Roosevelt To Seek
St. Lawrence Pact
WASHINGTON, March 13. (
President Roosevelt reiterated today
he would seek a new treaty with
Canada for development of the St.
Lawrence waterways, but emphasised
he did not expect to submit a pact
to this session of the senate.
