After two years of development
work. General Tire has Just perfected
a motor-car tire built on an en Urol y
new principle of tire construction, ac
cording to John Deaver. Departing
from the conventional type of rubber
button or tire tread design, character
istic of all present-day tires, the Dual
10 tire, with "multl-vane tread" is
distinguished by many thin rubber
vanes or flutes, running longitudin
ally around the tire, Mr, Deaver says.
"These soft, flexible vanes give rather
than resist when the tire strikes an
obstruction. Under breaking pressure,
In emergency stops, the vanes squirm
to form a serpentine pattern on the
road surface and a squeegee action
takes place which wipes the highway
free of moisture to form a dry sur
face for adjacent vanes to cling to,
Tests have shown that this tire will
stop a car In a fraction of the time
and distance, required by any other
tire and that It will stop a car,
straight In Its tracks, more quickly on
a wet pavement than any other tire
will stop it on a dry pavement."

NEW!
ATire that Stops any Car straight 'in
its tracks on any roadwet or dry !
THE
GENERAL DUAL 10
does just that. We're ready to
prove by actual demonstration
that the dangerous skid
swerve has been eliminated.
With the mounting toll of skidding
accidents Isn't it worth your time and
money to investigate a tire so new in
design that it ends the perilous skid swerve
that costs so much today!
When you look at the new Dual 10 tread
you wonder why this unusual design has
such amazing traction. Here's what hap.
pens. When you apply the brakes those
magic ribbons of rubber squirm into a
squeegee action that wipes the surface
clean and dry and provides constant,
unyielding traction.
Because this flexible tread offers so litde
resistance to the road it wears more slowly
than conventional designs. There is no
cupping the wear is stew and even. The
exclusive features of General's patented
low pressure construction have all been
retained in the Dual 10. Stop by today
and drive a car equipped with Dual 10s.
