of the year between the two squads.
In the previous games the Medford
offense has consistently crumbled be
fore the Llthla City onslaught, but
with the Tigers clicking better than
they have at any time this year, a
fast and clever offense Is hoped to
turn the trick tonight.
Lee Returns.
The game wlU be the last before
the state tournament for the now
crippled Grizzlies, who lost their star
and center last week with mumps.
The loss is expected to be partly nulli
fied by the return of Wslt Lee, blonde
guard, who has been out of combat

kind of buck fever. They wouldn't
shoot and they tried to get fancy,
I don't think there'll be much of
that sort of stulf tonight. We're
going to abandon the fancy stuff, and
shoot every time we get hold of the
ball."
The battle Is expected to draw the
largest crowd of the year, many com'

the Tigers humbled again, and hun
dreds of fana In this city, anxious to
see the locals exhibit the basketball
which they unleashed against Grants
Pass, Roseburg and Klamath Falls re-
cently, confident that such a display
will be more than enough to assure
victory.
Interest High.
Interest In the two schools Is high,
even though the game has no bearing
on district honors. A large delega
tion of Llthla City students are plan
ning on being here for the fracas,
while a huge pep rally was held at
the Medford school this afternoon.
The preliminary between the Med
ford Junior high school midgets, or
Junior Toy Bulldogs, and the Jsck
sonvllle midgets, Is scheduled to start
at 7:30, the main game to follow an
hour later. No scats are to be re
served. On Saturdsy the Tigers invade

season last night with a crashing 83-
10 victory over the Ashland 8th grad
ers on the Senior high floor here. The
meeting was the first between the
two squsds, "
Ray Henderson's scrappy little team
led 18 to 8 at half time, held the
Ashlanders to two markers (scored
on a field goal by Rush), and made 15
points themselves, in the last half.
Newland, Medford guard, was high
for his team and the game with 12
points.

smug opinion of his own prowess, and

'Using knees and elbows Is smart
wrestling," Hollls said, and Indicated
that he will use plenty of both.

The Tigers, coached by Ira Woodle,
dropped Vale from the unbeaten class
last night 38 to 30, after Baker high
soundly trounced Ontario 34 to 32 to
reach the challenging position. Baker
and La Grande, traditional rivals, will
meet at 8:30 tonight. In the other
semi-final match Vale will play Nys
