The personnel working directly out
of the Med ford office Is thus raised

said.

psper, has been cleared of forgery

He was arrested by state patrolmen

tion In three streetcar holdups here.
Detective Cenlitln Jack Kecitan said
today,
Willis was charged with asssult and
robbery while armed. He also was
charged with larceny of an overcoat
at Astoria. Ills reputed holdup com
panion, Eugene Taylor, was recently
bound over to the grsnd Jury here
en holdup charges.

Combine sugar, Dour, and aalt In
(op of double boiler. Add milk and
egg yolks, mixing thoroughly.
Piece over rapidly boiling Water
and cook 10 minutes, stirring con-

ter; add V, cup coconut and va
nilla. Cool. Slice 1 banana Into
pie shell; then All with cooled
tilling.
Place egg whites, sugar, salt, and
water In top of double boiler; beat
with rotary egg beater until
thoroughly mixed Place over
rapidly boiling water and beat 1
minute: then remove from fire and
continue beating 1 minute, or until
mixture will stand In peaks. Add
flavoring. Pile lightly on filling.
Slice remaining bananas and ar
range wun slices overlapping,
around meringue. 8prlnkle with
remaining coconut. Serve at once.
Coconut Cream Peaoh Pie
Use recipe for Coconut Cream
fruit Pie, substituting 114 cups
Bllced fresh peaches, or 1 cups
drained, canned sliced peaches, for
bananas. Place 14 of peaches ;in
pie shell. Add filling and cover
with meringue. Arrange remaining
peaches around meringue. Sprinkle
with coconut. Serve at once.

for bananas. Remove membrane

driver, died today of pneumonia

Pre-depreulon salary schedules will
return next fall for Oresham schaol
teachers, the school board voted.
The faculty payroll was cut 30
per cent In 1933. Half of this was
restored last year and the old level
will be resumed next September.

Veteran of Josephine county intend
to apply a large portion of their
bonus money toward retirement of
debts, an American Legion survey
this week revealed.
Of approximately 3ft0.000 due vet
erans residing here, 13 per cent will
be left In the form of bonds, 29 per
cent will be applied to debt reduc
tion. 13 per cent to education of chil
dren, eight per cent to payment of
delinquent taxes, eight per cent to
home improvements, six per cent to
mortgage reduction, six per cent to
get automobiles, four per cent to fur
niture and remainder to current ex
penses, it waa estimated.
Payments will range from 1130 to
