Mrs. Rlph Nelson Is home again after
spending sixteen days In the hospi
tal. She had bronchial pneumonia
and Is regaining her strengUT gradu
ally. The ball games Friday evening re
sulted In victory for Butte Falls high
school against Eagle Point high
school. The scores were 21 to 26 and
7 to 50. After the games a Valentine
dance was given by the high school
seniors at the Woodman hall. Moore's
orchestra and the CCC orchestra fur
nished the music.
There will be a Hustlers club meet
ing at the home of Mrs. Everett Ab
bott on Thursday. All members are
urged to come and also bring pros
pective members.
Raymond Wooley and a friend, both
of the U. S. Navy, are visiting at the
former's home.
Jack Rick man arrived last Monday
to work at the government hatchery.

Both rooms of our school enjoyed the
fun of Valentino boxes and, receiving
many beautiful Valentines. Mr. VI
mont's room enjoyed a treat of candy
besides. In Miss Ruttencutter'a room.
Walter Rein acted as postmaster and
Pecer Albonlco and Johny Nicholas
were mall carriers. This was a jolly
main event for the youngsters. The
school la progressing very well under
the fine staff of teachers.
A number of our young folks went
to Butt Falls Friday evening to at
tend the basketball game between
Eagle Point and Butte Falls. Among
those going were Miss Evelyn Jack,
Miss Dorothy Vestal, De Armond and
Larry Leigh and Ralph Lamb. Larry
Leigh Is playing on the Eagle Point
team.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Jack received
a radiogram and letter from thetr
daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Hanlford and baby Signs
from Manila. They are all fine.
The Home and School circle will
have an all-day meeting with a cov
ered dish luncheon at noon, at the
home of Mrs. Wilfred Jack, Friday,
February 31. All members, neighbors
and friends are Invited to come and
bring a covered dish and enjoy a real
day visiting neighbors. A business
meeting will be held In the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. C. 8. Wade have
moved to Eagle Point, thereby re
moving three pupils from our school.
