"Well, 1 haven't annoyed anybody
at all that 1 know of. excepting my
clergyman father."

"They think It must have been a
lunatic."
"Nonsene. Lunatics don't wander

learn Its technique. Not until 1874
did Iceland permit glim a wrestling to

The ban had been In effect since
about 1100; the secret was kept for
nearly tight centuries.
In recent years the glima has been
filmed for news reels, and In 1020 a
band of Icelanders toured Europe
giving exhibitions of the picturesque
form of wrestling.

waists and thighs. Each contestant
grasps his opponent's harness with
both hands at the waist. Standing
