'CAPTAIN BLOOD' IS
ADVENTURE FILM
Audiences during the year past have
. evidenced a distinct liking for mo

class and today, opening a three-day
run at the Craterlan theatre, the pic
turlzatton of Rafael Sabatlnl'a "Cap

liking.
.'. A thrilling tale of the 17th century
sea pirates, "Captain Blood" la one
of the more pretentious motion pic
ture productions to be brought to the
screen. Great sailing- vessels of the
period; parts of a village In England:
most of the old city of port Royal In
the West Indies: the king's palace: a
governor's mansion these were but a
few of the settings that had to be
made for the production.
Playing the title role of Captain
Blood is Brrol Plynn, a handsome and
dashing young Irishman, whose own
true -life adventures would make an
"interesting film play. A soldier of for
tune, escaping death on numerous
occasions particularly in the j'bush
country" of New Guinea hie young
life has been replete with adventure
The story follows Blood as he runs
afoul of the soldiery In England, soon
finds himself a slave In the West In
dies and later the captain of a priate
hip.
