William R. Coleman, Justice of the
peace, and his wife, yesterday cele
brated 44 years of married life. They
were married January 20, 1CS2 at
Phoenix, at 7:30 o'clock In the eve
ning. The father of the bride, and the
father of the groom, crossed the
plains together In 1852. Mra. Cole
man was born In Baker. Oregon, and
Judge Coleman in thla county.
"There was no special celebration.
We are waiting until we pass the
fifty year mark and can celebrate a
golden wedding anniversary," Judge
Coleman said this morning.
