EGG PRICES CUT
ANOTHER PENNY
PORTLAND. Ore. Jan. 1(5. (AP)
Further cut of 1 cent a dozen in the
price on all grades of eggs by the
produce exchange recognised the fact
that the price on the open market
has been near demoralization as a
result of the unwillingness of con
sumers to purchase normal supplies.
Market for butter was showing a
well-held tone In the country gener
ally with prices unchanged at the
recent declines as a rule but frac
tional advances In spots. There was
no change In butvrfr.
Trifle easier tone was suggested for :
leghorn' chickens In the local trade, j
even though prices were unchanged j
from the recent high mark. Colored
fowls were firmly priced.

Witness Disappointed
One of the two prosecution wit

scene of the Lindbergh kidnaping.
and who hoped to see him executed
tomorrow night, took the reprieve
philosophically.
Amandus Hochmutb, 87, who swore
he saw Hauptmann with the kidnap

estate, was waiting at the office of
Attorney General David T. Wllentz
for a pass to the execution when he
heard the news.
Well," he said. "I guess I'll have

Governor Hoffman said: "We have
agreed that this reprieve will not be
