Mrs. Sam Hamilton have moved Into
the Dunn house,
Mr. and Mrs. Schafer, who have
been visiting their parents, returned
to New Mexico last week.
The hot lunches will be started
Monday at the school under the
same management as last year. Mrs.
Wanda Works will have charge of
the cooking. Lunches will be served

Dalles after spending a week with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Smith.

The California - Oregon Rabbit
Breeders' association met at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Calkins
of Modford Sunday. Aftr a boun
teous dinner at noon, the meeting
was held. Election of officers for
the year of 1936 resulted as follows:
Harry H. Lowe, of Talent, an au
thority on rabbits, and one of the
largest breeders in southern Oregon,
was elected president: Sam Daven
port of Ashland, angora breeder,
vice-president; Mrs. Taylor Williams
of Ashland, secretary-treasurer; O.
L. , Calkins of Medford, publicity
manager, and Mrs. Dolly Calkins,
lecturer.

Committees will be appointed by
the president at the next regular
meeting to be held In Ashland at
the home of Mr. and "to. Taylor
Williams. Several new meters were
taken in and the members are
getting ready for a big year.

Floyd Dover, reoently returned de!0'
gate from tho Chicago convention,
gave an Interesting and Instructive
talk at the Townsend club meeting
In Rogue River Tuesday evening, at
which time he told the Interesting
highlights of the convention, clear
ing up some obscure point of the
old age pension plan and stating that
there were around 8,000 Townsend
delegates at the convention In Ohl
cago, tt being the largeat convention
ever held In tho united States. The
Stevens hotel was convention head
quarters, and was full for tho first
time In It hlatory. It was' note
worthy that there wa no drinking
of Intoxicating liquor whatever at the
time of the convention. Mr. Dover
gave a very clear explanation of the
transaction tax which will support
the old age pension project. The
meeting was preceded by election of
offlcera and followed by a program.
