South Fork has been vastly improved
In recent weeks, Karl L. Janouch,
supervisor of the , Rogue River na
tlonal forest, said today upon hla re
turn from Butte Falls. The camp
grounds have been landscaped, cabins

his assistant, H. C. Obye, had lunch
at the CCC camp and Mr. Janouch
described the luncheon as the best

David Smith, a farmer living on
Indian creek In the Shady Cove dis
trict, reported to city police yester
day that his home had been robbed
sometime yesterday afternoon while
the family waa away. Loot waa de
scribed as half a hog, s quantity of
potatoes and many other provisions.
State police, who are investigating
today, said that the loot must have
been carried away In some sort of ve
hicle, since the haul waa too heavy
to have been carried on foot or on-horseback.

Radio club elected and installed the
following officers at the regular meet
ing of the organization Friday night:
President, Guy Good; vice-president,
Harry Bennett; secretary-treasurer.
Buron Peffly; sergeant at arms. David
Owens. Mr. Peffly la also trustee for
the club atstlon. Necessary papers
have been filed for license to operate
an amateur station as property of the
club.
Following election of officers, the
balance of the meeting was given
over to discussion of activities for the
coming year. It Is planned to have
some member of the club give a
tchntcal talk or demonstration each
meeting. Quite a lengthy discussion
was made concerning the elimination
of power line noises.
