In marriage. The quiet ceremony i
was wltnejwed only by members of
the Immediate families.
Bride and groom were attended by
' Mrs. George Barnum, sister of the
bride, and William Keath, the bride s
brother.
A tailored suit of blue-grey was thn
ttlre chosen by the bride, with
which she wore navy turban and ac
cessories. Mri. Bamum wore a brown
afternoon dress.
Bride and groom received a few
friends after the ceremony at the
George Barnum home on Pair view
Heights. Both Mr. and Mrs. Narregan
are wry well known in southern Ore
gon, where they graduated from Mod
ford high school. Mr. Narregan also
attended Stanford university at Palo
Alto.
The bridal couple drove to Port
land for a honeymoon, and will re
turn to Med ford to make their home
at the Holly Apartments, Mr. Narre
gan Is United States deputy marshal
here.
Daughters of Nile
To Elect Officers
Zulelma Temple, Daughters of the
Nile, will meet In the Ashland Ma
sonic temple next Saturday nfternoon
' at two o'clock. Preceding the meet
ing, luncheon will be served in the
Masonic dining room at twelve-thirty
by the temple patrol.
Business of the day will Include
election of officers for the new year
and plars will be made for the In
stallatlon ceremonies. A good atten
dance Is desired, and members are
especially urged to attend the lunch
eon. Mrs. A. K. Cass, of Grants Pats,
queen of the temple, will preside

Get-Together Club
Has All-Day Party
First day of the new year was spent
In a club gathering by the Get
Together club, starting with a turkey
dinner served to ninety people at the
Eagles hall at one-thirty.
After dinner, the afternoon was
ipent dancing and playing cards
until five-thirty, when light refresh
ments were served, after which cards
were resumed.

Friday nfternoon at two o'clock at
the home of Mrs. F. O. Albert, 435

Over New Year's
A holiday visitor In Med ford was
James Firth, of Snn Francisco, now
living In Myrtle point, who spent
New Year's eve and the next day as
a guest at Klrtland Farm, home of
Mrs. Alex Sparrow. The engagement
of Miss Frances Sparrow to Mr. Firth
was an Interesting announcement of
ft few weeks ago. The wedding date
Is Indefinite, but will be an event or
spring.
Entertaining for Miss Sparrow and
Mr. Firth, and also for Miss Betty
Bardwell and Eric Wcstergren, whose
betrothal was recently announced,

heme New Year's Eve preceding the

been under way for five yesrs. He
also directed the building of Savage
Rapids dam and was consulting en
gineer for the railway that spans
Great Salt Lake, Utah. Mr. and Mrs.
Carrlllo are spending a holiday vaca
tion In southern Oregon and are re

Trusty, of Trail, about whom gath
ered four generations of their family

Ralph McCarty. The bride of sixty
one years ago vividly recalled her
wedding day as being clear and
bright, with snow on the ground.

A wedding of Interest to many peo
ple In southern Oregon took place
on Sunday afternoon, December 20,
In the Methodist Episcopal church.
In Ashland, when Miss Mar J oris Mills,
a member of one of Ashland's pioneer
families, became the bride of- Lew
Price, of Port Orford, Oregon, the
Rev. Melville Wire officiating.
, Miss Mills was given In marriage
by her father, John W. Mills of Ash
land. Her only attendant was Miss
Beulah Hervey. John Mills, Jr., bro
ther of the bride, was best man, and
Edwin and Timothy White of Med
ford served as ushers.
After the ceremony friends of the
bride and groom were received at the
residence of Miss Jessie Mills on
Vista street, which has been the
home of the Mills family for many
years. Receiving with the bridal
party were Mr. and Mrs. John W.
Mills. Miss Jessie Mills, and Mrs. J. O.
Coffin' of Phoenix, grandmother of
the bride.
The hostess was assisted In the
dining room by Mrs. Jennie Math Is,
Mrs. George Carey, and the Misses
Dorothy Reed and Fdna Mae and
Harriet White.
Mrs. Price Is a graduate of the
Southern Oregon Noruisi and has
taught school for the past two years.
