tional Monument In northern Cali
fornia and the Oregon Cave Na
tional monument in southern Ore
gon. Mr. Doerr will be stationed at the
Crater Lake National park office In
Klamath Falls and will be located
there until park activities will oall
him to Crater lake next spring.
The new official comes to Crater
lake with an extensive background
of experience and training In geology,
a science closely connected with the
scientific history of the southern
Oregon scenic wonder and the mon
uments. A native of Indiana. Mr.
Doerr is a graduate of the Univer
sity of Wisconsin class of 1924 and
obtained his master's degree there
