went an emergency operation, has re
covered sufficiently to take over her
classes tn the prospect high school.
Mrs. Bruce Glvens left by train
Sunday to spend the holidays with
her mother near Cleveland, Ohio.
December 6 the Prospect school
held a carnival to raise funds for
school activities. A large crowd at

new porch, a new garage and will Im
prove the place quite extensively.

Harry Powell gave them a real sur
prise party last Thursday, bringing a
fine aupper. Games were played until

was had by all present. After supper
was served all wended their way

Mrs. Elizabeth TUlord, 58 year, old
and mother of nine children, died on

slaying of her third nusnano.

she ontered the courtyard slowly
from her cell, where she had been In
virtual state of collapse, and
walked weakly through softly falling

award of a contract for 100 attack
plane. Involving 2,065,074, to the
Northrop corporation of Ingle wood,

The contract also calls for spare

The machines, designed to augment

ated general headquarters air force,
are of an all-metal, low-wing mono
plane type with retractlble landing
