The annual Elks Christmas tree
celebration will start at the fratern
ity's temple tomorrow night promptly
at 7 o'clock. It was announced today.
In order to complete the long pro
gram of entertainment, tho celebra
tion must start on time, officials
stated in issuing a special plea that
all members and their guests be at
the temple at 7 o'clock sharp.
Forty dozen big crabs from north
ern waters arrived today for part of
the dinner to be aerved free to all
attending. Free beer also will be
served at the dinner and again dur
ing the evening at the Christmas tree.
A gala program of entertainment has
been arranged.
Proceeds are to be used In distri
buting Christmas baskets among
needy families. It was anticipated to
day that this season's celebration
will bo the most successful held here
In recent years.
