at first believed, and Bowsrman was
doubtful If the brilliant little back
would be able to see extlon. Both
Lewla and Kunzman were held out
of practice last night, and watched
the action from the sidelines. Kunz
man is Buffering from a torn liga
ment In his knee which will prob
ably keep him out of most of the
game, and may even prevent his start
ing. Eldon Grow, big sophomore end.

Interest in the game -la high In
Grants Paea and the Cavemen are
prepared to unload the works in an
effort to stop the high-scoring spree
of the Black Tornedo, and emerge
with a win If possible. Potentially,
the Grants Pass outfit la one of the
strongest in that city In years, but
they have had trouble In finding
their stride to dat. In nearly every
game ao far this year, they have
shown flashes of brilliance, trumping
Ashland under and losing twice to
the powerful Klamath Palls eleven by
one touchdown margins.

to cross up the Beara by cracking
center.
The signal called for "Inky" Wat
kins, a truly great halfback, to
dive for the score. As he aalled into
the nlr, Russell Calkins, the Cali
fornia center, Just managed to get.

one week they practiced at 10 below

ford as to be busy with Ashland
on Thanksgiving day. so the only
opening left was for a pot -season
game, and this Medford If
still hoping to complete. Such a
game, on December 7, would lie

and agility. Handball la a threat game
for developing coordination. For those
