Planning L. A. Jannt Miss Alice
Barber of Medford is planning a trip
to Los Angeles, where she intends to
spend the winter. Miss Barber may
make her home In Long Beach.

Dick Watson and Dick Applegate ere
to drive to Roseburg this evening to
attend the Medford-Roseburg foot
ball game. They will return tonight.

Gets Bounty William Walch
Route 3. today collected a 3 bounty
at the county courthouse for killing
a coyote. It was expected that bounty
collections would increase, materiilly
after November .1. the sum of $3,500
being set aside for bounties on coy
otes and bob-cats.

Lieut. Francis K. Smith, district
surgeon, and Lieut. Roy Craft, public
relations officer, were to leave this
afternoon for the Lakevlew country,

CCC Exhibit Numerous examples
of art work done at the CCC camps
of the Medford district will be placed
on exh'ibit next week at the Jackson
County chamber of commerce. The
exhibit will Include leather, wood asd
metal work, Illustrations, designs and
other specimens of the craftsmanship
of the CCC enrollees. The display pre
cedes the district educational confer
ence.' to be held at the Elks temple,
October 31 and 22.

left Wednesday on a busness trip to
San Francisco, returned this morning.

CCC district' Sunday for the Mon
terey, Cal, district, where they will
form the nucleus of a new company.
The remainder of the company at
Lava Beds will be transferred to Com
pany 923, Camp Oak Knoll.

reported completion of his Qheck of
all schools on standardization. The
schools are inspected and graded on
the condition of grounds, school
house, equipment, library, teacher
and' school organization and commun
ity activities affecting the school.
