Community Chest for 1936, comprised
of M. N. Hogan, chairman; Leonard
Carpenter, Raymond R. Reter, M. D.
Field. A. J. Hauk, C. D. Bean and
W. 8. Bolger, has been faithfully
working for the last five weeks with
some fifteen night meetings lasting
from two to three and a half hours,
consulting with the budget commit

they have done in the past.
In a statement Saturday, Eugene
Thorndike, president of the chest,
said:
"It la necessary that this work be
done before the Community chest
drive and, as of past years, this execu
tive committee haa performed its
tssk very efficiently.
"Another Interesting fact about the
Medford community chest Is that our
chest has the largest number of In
dividual contributors of any of the
same per capita In the United States.
