Empey, who was returning to her
home at Eugene after visiting In

OPEN TO DEER HUNTERS

Supervisor Frank Wire of the Oregon
State game commission last night
said that 310.000 acres swept by Ore
gon's greatest forest fire In August.
193!. will be open to deer hunters
this season.
The great Tillamook burn, encom
passing the watersheds of the Trass
and Wilson rlrere, Bcogglns creek and
other streams, mostly on the western
slope of the Coast range, will be open
after two year closure to hunting.
Wire said reports were that many
deer had returned to the burn and
hunting would be good, especially
around the frl igea. Jt was not be

for deer Is plentiful and hunting will
be much easier than formerly, be
