with an old Medford tradition. Coach
Bowerman admits they're gloomy,
But beneath that gloom are a lew
glimmers of light with a promise

Veterans will be few and far be
tween. The only regulars back wilt
be Kunzman at end, and Smith in
the backfleld. Lewis, another back,
saw action last year, as did Ettlnger,
Maruyama. and Dickinson. All will
probably soe plenty of the hard go
ing this yenr. The point where
Bowermsn's team looks weak on pa
per Is at center, and one end.
Kunamnn will he able to hold
down one end quit nicely, and big
Kay Ettlnger will probably get a
chimce at the other wing. But that
leaves no reserves. Switching Ettln
