PORTLAND, Sept. 6. (AP) Con
tinued dry weather and steady con
sumption of butter were the under
lying causes of an advance in the
butter market this week It the
advance la sustained, nd is fol
lowed by theretau merchants, con
sumers may find A grade butter sell
ing for 32 cents a pound, and B
grade at 31 cent. Trading Interest
Is centered on top scores.
The egg market is practically the
same as last week, and consumers
are finding that the best buy, qual
ity and price considered, is to be
made In small grades. Oversize will
h rptniunor fit 36 cents a dozen;
extras. large. 34 and 35 cents; extras,
medium. 32 and 33 cents; standards,
large. 32 and 33 cents and extras

The cheese market remained firm
and there has been an advance in
practically all package goods. High
scoring mild cheese will be retailing
around 21 cents and cents
pound, fancy sharp 29 cents and 31
cents, depending on age.
