Chausse, owner of the course. A
putting contest, a pitch-and-put con
test and a match for driving distance

The Medford Public golf course,
with only nine holes. Is said to be
one of the sportiest courses In the
state, with the eighth hole. In which
the golfer contends with a wire fence,
a road, tall weeds In the rough, an
Irrigation canal water trap, and a
rock ledge. Is described by Chausse
aa one of the toughest holes he has
ever designed, and he haa designed
several courses. Nature has aided
him In making It tough, with a large
rock placed In a strategic position.
Chausse has put the green right be
hind this rock.
$100,000 LEFT IN FUND
FOR CAPITOL REBUILDING

000 to apply on the construction of
a new capltol building after most of
the equipment destroyed In the capl

WIDOW TAKEN BY DEATH
GREENWICH. Conn.. Aug. 33.

ended In death today for Mrs. Isabel
Stlllman Rockefeller, widow of Percy
Rockefeller, and heir to his vast es
tate appraised at more than $9,000,
000. - The 89 year old widow of a nephew
of John D. Rockefeller, died late yes
terday less than 11 months after the
death of her husband, September 25.
