Hie bodies of Will Rogers and Wiley
Post were hetng returned hare today,
brought back from that aerial voyage
Rogers had said would end, for htm.
"Just somewhere."
Their remains were to be taken di
rectly to a mortuary at Forest Lawn
Memorial Park.
Despite the unbounded affection
j felt, generally, for Will Rogers, some
j Tear was expressed of untoward Inci
dents, such as have attended the
funerals of other film stars. Every
safeguard will be employed, both to
day nnd at the funeral services,
Thursday, friends said.
J A private ceremony for Rogers
family will be performed Thursday, at
Forest L.'i'.vn. Mrs. Rogers requested
it, be led by the Rev. J. Whltcom'o
Brougher. Sr., who cancelled an evan
gelical campaign at Seaside. Ore., to
return here.
The comedian's body then will be

Later. It was understood. It- will be
removed to a last resting place in
Rogers' home stat. Oklahoma.
At the same time. Thursday, one.
and perhaps two other tributes will
be paid Rogers' memory.
A public ceremony in the vast
Hollywood Bowl will be held. Here, it
it is believed, plans now being formu
