the cocktail of mirth and romance,
which serves to introduce a striking
new personality in Lulse Ralner, bru
nette stage star from Vienna, who
makes her screen debut as his lead
ing lady.
Blending every possible element in
entertainment through Us dramatic
twists, the play deals with a popular
artist in Vienna who, through a flir
tation, paints a married woman's pic
ture which accidently gets into
print. Hunting a model to serve as
an alibi he finds the demure com
panion of a countess. When he falls
in love with her, a Jealous sweet
heart, his previous escapades, and
other troubles provide a complica
tion that runs from whimsical com
edy to a vivid climax.
Powell plays a Continental Lotha
rio with deft skill and engaging per
sonality. Miss Ralner rises to dramat
is heights and shows her versatlity
by whimsical humor and romantic
highlights as well.
